Gau seva centre

Under the aegis of Ek Parivartan Foundation, the Gau Seva Centre is a flagship initiative dedicated to the welfare and protection of cows, a cornerstone of India’s cultural and agricultural heritage. At the Gau Seva Centre, we strive to provide comprehensive care to cows and promote their significance in sustainable living and environmental conservation

Our Mission

Our mission is to ensure the safety, health, and dignity of cows through structured programs that cater to their shelter, medical needs, and rehabilitation. We also aim to educate communities about the importance of cow welfare and sustainable practices in agriculture.

1. Cow Shelter (Gaushala)

Our Gaushala provides a safe haven for abandoned, stray, and ailing cows. The shelter is equipped with:

  • Spacious Enclosures: Ensuring cows have ample space to move and rest.

  • Clean and Hygienic Environment: Regular cleaning to prevent diseases.

  • Nutritious Diet: A balanced diet including fodder, grains, and mineral supplements.

  • Comfortable Bedding: Soft, clean bedding to ensure cows rest peacefully.

2. Medical Care

We provide 24/7 veterinary care to ensure the health and well-being of the cows. This includes:

  • Regular Health Check-ups: Routine assessments to monitor their health.

  • Treatment of Injuries and Illnesses: Specialized care for injured or sick cows.

  • Vaccination Drives: Preventing common diseases through timely vaccinations.

  • Mobile Veterinary Services: Reaching out to rural areas for emergency care.

3. Rehabilitation and Adoption Programs

For cows unable to survive in the wild or on streets, we provide permanent care or facilitate adoption into caring homes. Our adoption program ensures the new owners adhere to ethical practices and provide suitable living conditions.

4. Promotion of Organic Farming

Cows play a vital role in sustainable agriculture. We:

  • Promote the use of cow dung and urine for organic manure and bio-pesticides.

  • Train farmers in creating organic compost and adopting eco-friendly practices.

  • Conduct workshops on the economic benefits of cow-based farming systems.

5. Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns

To ensure long-term impact, we:

  • Conduct awareness drives about the importance of cows in Indian culture and ecology.

  • Engage schools and colleges in workshops and seminars on cow welfare.

  • Celebrate festivals and events that highlight the role of cows in traditional practices.

Infrastructure and Facilities

The Gau Seva Centre is designed to ensure a comfortable and nurturing environment for cows. Some highlights include:

  • Rainwater Harvesting Systems: Providing water for cows and farming needs.

  • Solar-Powered Energy: Making the Centre eco-friendly and self-sustaining.

  • Dedicated Care Units: Separate zones for calves, pregnant cows, and ailing cows.

  • Green Pastures: Allowing cows to graze freely in natural surroundings.

Community Involvement

We believe that the success of Gau Seva depends on active community participation. We:

  • Encourage volunteers to assist in feeding and caring for the cows.

  • Involve local farmers and residents in our workshops and programs.

  • Partner with local businesses for resources and funding.

Support Us

Your support can help us provide better care and expand our initiatives. You can contribute by:

  • Donating: Monetary donations or in-kind contributions like fodder, medicine, or equipment.

  • Volunteering: Spend your time at the Gau Seva Centre and help us care for the cows.

  • Sponsoring a Cow: Cover the monthly expenses of a cow’s care and well-being.

Impact So Far

Since its inception, the Gau Seva Centre has:

  • Rescued and rehabilitated over 500 cows.

  • Conducted 200+ medical camps for cows in rural areas.

  • Trained 1,000+ farmers in organic farming techniques.

  • Engaged 10,000+ individuals in awareness programs.

Future Plans

We aim to:

  • Establish more Gau Seva Centres across the country.

  • Develop a research wing for innovations in organic farming and cow care.

  • Collaborate with international organizations for knowledge exchange and funding.

  • Create self-sustaining models to ensure the long-term viability of our programs.

Join Us in the Movement

The Gau Seva Centre is more than just a shelter; it’s a movement to restore the balance between humans, animals, and nature. By supporting us, you become a part of a larger vision to protect and honor one of the most revered animals in our society.

Together, let’s make a difference—one cow at a time.
